Rokysan,  welcome to the forum and ownership of the Leica X1. It is a super little camera which has become a digital classic. Enjoy!

It is quite the performer. This is the first Leica I have owned in more than thirty years since I sold my M3s. Nikons worked much better for the work I was doing at the time. I do miss those cameras.

I rummaged through my archives again and fiddled around with some of my first X1 files. The following series from Cologne dates back to 2012 and where shot during a photowalk during Photokina. I am once again stunned by the quality of these files. Some of the images may be posted awhile back here or elsewhere in the forum, although slightly different due to newer post processing procedures.

James, these are fine pictures with superb quality. The X1 will remain an outstanding compact camera which has never been surpassed. Wake up Leica and produce an updated version without significant 'bloat'.

Thank you, David, much appreciated! It would be a dream come true, but I think it will remain a dream. I would buy a true X1 successor without hesitation. Inbuild viewfinder, a bit faster and for me a bit heavier would be nice.

Here another one from Photokina 2012, Hasselblad booth. I remember being the only one with Leica compacts (my X1 and my IIIc) during this public shooting:
