dkCambridgeshire Posted May 25, 2023 Share #19784  Posted May 25, 2023 A 'fill-in' pic ... Just to show an English interpretation of a 30's based hot rod at the recent Stilton Cheese Classic Car Run charity event. Destination is The Bell Inn Stilton near Peterborough where entrants park, eat/drink and chat.  This "Petite Cinque Coupe" ? started life as a 1935 Morris Eight – no idea which V8 has been fitted. I have some additional pix of other cars attending but will hold in abeyance. Welcome, dear visitor! wlaidlaw Posted May 25, 2023 Share #19785  Posted May 25, 2023 Dunk, That looks like a Daimler V8, either the 2.5L from the SP250 and 2.5L saloon (Jaguar Mk.2 body) or the big 4.5L V8 from the Majestic Major saloon. A friend shoehorned the 4.5L V8 into an SP250 sports car but really this was a step too far for its rather flexible chassis. The doors tended to fly open on accelerating out of corners which is just a tad too exciting. Wilson
