Thank you, John. I always suspected that, one day, my 24 years' membership of the Porsche Club GB would come in useful....

I'll sort something out later today.

A friend of mine, who lives in Florida, has 5 or 6 of the Carrera GT's and is obsessed with them. I would have thought that one was one too many but he has made quite a lot of money by buying them up when they were out of fashion about 10 years ago. Not my favourite Porsche and very difficult to drive in heavy traffic, with its ultra light flywheel and in or out clutch, as I found out driving one from central Miami to his house in Boca Raton.

Aston Martin DB2-4

Well done, Hektor! DB 2-4 Mk III. It would have felt churlish were I to have asked tor the Mk. as, clearly, you knew the thing. And a Pretty Thing it is!

No idea why she sports an Ecurie Ecosse shield on her flanks but if I meet the owner when the 7-Oaks / Crystal Palace meet returns I'll ask!....

Frontal treatment;

Perhaps the owner of the DB2-4 Mk.III was at Merchiston Castle School like I was, which had an association with Ecurie Ecosse, whose original premises were in Merchiston Mews. Their monthly newsletter, of which a copy was always sitting in the school library, was "News from the Mews". Ecurie Ecosse used to bring their cars, various D Types and the Tojeiro Buick to the school from time to time. My father knew David Murray, the founder, quite well and before there was an official Mercedes dealer in Scotland, David Murray was selling them from the Mews. My father bought a new 220S from them in 1955 after a serious illness had left him struggling with the very heavy unassisted steering on his Michelin X shod Jaguar Mk.7. Below is one of the D Types they used to bring to school but much later in its life, when we owned it still in Ecurie Ecosse colours. This is XKD504, originally the experimental alloy block fuel injected long nose car and later raced as one of the unsuccessful 3 litre cars at Le Mans, which although very fast, proved to be unreliable.

FIAT 500?

Got it.  Too easy.  Next time a photo of a dip-stick or alternator !  Sold it because I could not fit in with comfort.  Otherwise great car.

I don´t know the car, but from the reflection on the car the location must be the Hawaiian embassy in Pyongyang 😉

The car must be a sportscar, it has a rear spoiler (at least some sort of) and possibly a V4 engine.

1980 SAAB 96 Super snapped outside 4 Stewart Road, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland? On a Wendesday? Late morning? The dustbin gives it away.

Sorry I can't narrow it down any further than that.

I could be wrong, of course....
