The roots of this car go back to 1946 (ancestor and giving the idea but not meant to become a series car), prototype was made 1948, series cars were build since 1950 and some of those early models are amoung the classic cars which shot through the roof a while ago.

Congratulations, you named it!

 

It´s our "Pampers Taxi", T5.2 Multivan. Those vehicles are surprisingly driveable and comfortable today (Highline, DSG etc.). Back in the old days, an early 911 wasn´t "much" faster, but less comfortable.

With "full options" the problem with these cars is, that when you are young and need one, you cannot afford them and when you can afford them, you don´t really need them anymore, because your kids are grown up.
