OK, you guys had your chance

Gräf & Stift SP8 (Pullman Limousine), must be the 1930 model.

I am impressed (again) - your turn!

Gräf & Stift was an Austrian (Viennese) manufacturer of automobiles, trucks and buses from 1902 until 2001, but they produced cars until 1938 only.

This car has a license plate and even a sticker for highway toll so somebody is still driving it.Only 30 of these cars were built.

Thanks, Andreas. What a beauty!

The funny thing with my "guess" was: I knew from the radiator grill, that this must be a Gräf & Stift. I had an idea of the (rare) model but wasn´t sure about the year of made. I think the bumper was a hint for a very early model (SP8 started in 1930).

Interesting it´s still in use and has an "Autobahn Vignette".

OK, I have an interesting car for you.

Story:

Yesterday I saw a nice shadow through the garden hedge, then it stopped directly in front of my driveway. What car was it (maker and model)?

I think Stu was closest and first. The extra name I asked for was "Spezial-Roadster" and this is a 500/540K indeed.

That neighbor cannot afford a new Benz, so I respectfully deleted him and his wife entering their used but well in shape "second hand" car ;)

(A similar one sold for 11,7 Million $ some days ago in Pebble Beach - how many new Benzes are that?)

hello stuart, good evening all

if it's what i think it is, your latest vehicle might possibly be happier in khaki or camouflage coloring?

it looks like a "duck" amphibious vehicle, proper model name DUKW, which was made by General Motors during WWII. i've only seen one, painted bright yellow, used to cart tourists around London.

how'd i do?

greetings from hamburg
