Andreas.Pichler Posted July 15, 2012 Share #3721 Posted July 15, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) No "Prüfzeichen" on the rear light, but looks someho german. So a shot in the dark: German, pre 1955, small/micro car. Just to startthe discussion... Cheers, Andrea

Dr. No Posted July 16, 2012 Share #3725 Posted July 16, 2012 Nissan Figaro good guess and indeed you're right! the Nissan Figaro is a retro car - looks like 50s or 60s but was actually produced in the early 90s ... Andreas.Pichler Posted July 16, 2012 Share #3726 Posted July 16, 2012 What a cute car! And again Ronalds performance - show him a rusty engine screw, and he tells you the maker, type and of course engine number... Cheers, Andreas
Rona!d Posted July 16, 2012 Share #3727 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) good guess and indeed you're right! GUESS? Which guess? In this case I KNEW, Sir It came along with the Nissan Pao which is not so well known in Europe like the Figaro was. Nissan Pao I would have come along with this in my next riddle, but due to some missing slides I took of both cars back in the days, I have to take another car instead (too bad ). btw. UK, especially London area had/have a kind of fan base for the Figaro (and some Taos). There were some more of that kind, but I have to search for the slides p.s. Now I checked the Wiki link you posted, it also mentions the Pao and the other Pike Factory projects. In my link you see some nice ads of the pao. Rona!d Posted July 16, 2012 Share #3729 Posted July 16, 2012 Olaf, that was very clever posting the Figaro, especially nowadays when the chrome trims got some dents and everybody thought it was a real 1950´s classic For those who are not familiar with german car design, this was possibly the strongest design role model for the japanese retro team of the Figaro: Maico Champion Maico Champion pictures

stuny Posted July 17, 2012 Share #3734 Posted July 17, 2012 I too was thinking of a FIAT 128 or 124 or one of its licensed versions of those cars, such as Lada, Siata, etc.
Rona!d Posted July 17, 2012 Share #3735 Posted July 17, 2012 Sorry, no Lada, no FIAT and no licensed sibling model of them. But you are right with the decade of design.

stuny Posted July 17, 2012 Share #3738 Posted July 17, 2012 It seem Golf-iish. Perhaps the little Plymouth Horizon and Dodge Omni around 1980 to try to capture some market share.
