Good, Stu! It´s a Corvette, but not a Grand Sport. So here the next steps picture:

The louver's look to be on a much newer 'Vette, possibly the current body style, which suggests a Z1 (or is the proper designation Z01?). That's as far as I can go at present. I know this is not it, but I thought you'd like to see two historically important Grand Sports that are in the Simeone collection in Philadelphia. Bingo, you got it!

It was a pleasure staying in Le Mans with John. This shot we did just some minutes before

he drove his former Cunningham Le Mans car prior to the 2010 Le Mans race.

You can read the story in AUTOWEEK August/16 2010

Thanks Ronald although I didn't really name the car. (was hoping someone else would get it) Can you tell us more about your experiences with Mr. Fitch and the Corvette while I find something to post? Maybe another shot or two also?

I'm abroad, no photos until I'm back. John was in pretty good shape we had some interesting talks. It was a lucky moment seeing him driving the Le Mans track after so many years. It was the dream of Chip Miller to reunite driver and car, unfortunately he died before his dream could become true. His son Lance made his dads dream come true.

There is a film telling the story, called "The Quest", I think. I haven't seen it yet, but hope to get a copy one day.

Thanks for the links, Ronald - those were really interesting clips. Here's our next challenge, everybody.

Well, that was quick. Yes, it's a 1947 Cisitalia 202 coupe. Thought you were going to get this one, Stuart, as you've posted one before from MOMA. :) Your turn, Steed!
