Ronald, if you would not like to win this maybe last contest of the year - why not give the fellow enthusiasts another clue?

If I have to name the car - I would be very interested in the designer/coach builder. Then I would type it into Google - and again something unexpected will happen.

But with marque and designer it works. So, give them just the coach builder, just one word, then you whowed the crowd, literally spoken :-)

Cheers, Andreas

Not so bad...and of course, car designer sounds like a dog breed (thats the whow in whowed the crowd). Oh god, I love this italian sports car layouts, it seems as someone has said "let there be light!" ("fiat lux!") to car designers.

Wau,

Andreas

Haha, some more funny hints in words and pictures in your posting.

Indeed that car is VERY beautiful and cute. Several times I was standing behind, in front, aside it and said to myself: This is one of the few of that brand I would really love to own.

...only problem: you will need a shoehorn to enter the car for driving - or you need a scale driver, then its possible to enjoy it as a co-driver.

As I have said in the beinning: Its not what you might have expected.

Fortunately I Always Told......you: read carefully! Makes live easier.

Ah, this dog was a very good boy, we met him first when buying our MG TD in California. Stitch was a puppy right then, and always tried to enter the dish cleaner. Years ago, we visited our MG friends again, and Stitch became the "big daddy" in the meantime but never forgot his heritage - always trying kidding you, "life is a game"! "Stitch" ignores all borders - so forget "border" totally when thinking about this border c....! Stroke it! Stroke "border"! Forget Irrestistible Animals Trying......to irritate you ;-)

Cheers,

Andreas

Words, words, words. We are photographers .... so maybe time for another crop (but not too wide!). Wouldn´t be a big risk, except you show up with a logo. You have a shot from behind? (I´d have one, I think).

Nice story with the dog and the dish washer btw.

...Ronald, have had the same idea, just a little reward for Stuart.

Here it comes, yes, a FIAT.

Cisitalia? No, much more coachbuilders have worked for FIAT. Think about "Stitch" - not a coachbuilder, but he knows how to catch you...a special breed :-)

Hmm, you can see the FIAT logo right now., but helps not so much...okay, I have another one, from the side, but its a bad one, not Leica like, I made a big mistake during the development process, burnt a little area in Photoshop... really sorry...

Cheers, Andreas

PS: Have to go, have to walk the dog..."Lassie, come here!"

Andreas -

Based on your very generous hints I Googled some and found there are literally dozens of Italian carrozzeria, and one in particular founded in Milan in 1931 is no doubt the maker of your puzzle car. So far I can only find an interesting spider based on the Topolino, but not quite your car. The one I found is beautiful and I can't wait to see full images of your puzzle car. I suppose if I told you (carozzeria name) Topolino it might be enough, but I won't claim it: partly because I got at it via Google, and partly because I have no appropriate puzzle car of my own to post (other than one whose provenance I do not know).

Stuart,

only some hours left in 2011, and I won't let you go into 2012 with the burden of an unsolved mystery.

I accept hereby your Fiat Topolino guess together with the coachbuilders founding date in 1931 as the solution of this "Name the car" tulip rallye.

In fact we are talking about the 1936 Fiat Colli Topolino barchetta.

Colli (wau!) was a coachbuilder based in Milan (Milano), founded business in 1931 together with his sons and was working for FIAT and other car manufacturers.

The puzzle car has a 570 ccm engine, top speed around 110 km/h.

Photo was taken during the 2010 Schloss Dyck Historic Race Car Meeting in Germany, Summicron C 40 with Epson R-D1. Thanks to driver and co-driver for their assistance.

So Stuart, its your turn. Maybe you find a nice shot, otherwise you can pass it on to a fellow enthusiast.

Cheers, Andreas

...and may there be a very happy route in 2012 for all of you with lots of memorable moments...
