Rona!d Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2621 Posted December 20, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Without any further info about the "euro-connection" or further photos it starts to become a wild brand guess without any detailed models. I´d have some more brands in my mind but some further details would be helpful, be it infos like (UK/French connection etc.), be it another shot be it "built in .... (name of production countries)"

Guest Lmax Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2630 Posted December 20, 2011 Arnolt-MG based on TD??? Lenn Maybe built with different bumpers...?
Andreas.Pichler Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2631 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) Applause :-) Lenn, its your turn! Yep, MG Arnolt TD, built from 1950 to 1953. Technical parts from MG TD. Idea by Mr Arnolt from USA, he made a deal with Bertone after visiting a car show where Arnolt saw some Bertone designs. After around 100 car, MG was no longer able to provide Bertone with chassis, so production ended here. Some more information and pictures here: Arnolt TD - History of the MG TD http://www.fantasyjunction.com/cars/533-MG-Arnolt-1500cc%20Coupe%20by%20Bertone-1500cc%20Inline%204%20Cyl And thats the whole picture, taken at Terry Sanders workshop in Oakland 2007... Rona!d Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2632 Posted December 20, 2011 Cool, knew the car but didn´t have it on my agenda, thought of something more luxury Congratulations, Lenn!
Rona!d Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2633 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) Stuart, not a FIAT. Ronald comes pretty close when he is heading north - but not a Wolseley, an not a Magnette. Cheers, Andreas That should have told us it is an MG, because you did not exclude my MG Magnette guess So Lykaman was correct with MG hybrid. Guest Lmax Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2634 Posted December 20, 2011 Thanks! More or less luck and a little bit of investigation. Because I don't have fitting pictures and not the time to shoot some at the moment (harrgs, wait until february, when I'll retire!), everyone should feel free to continue her. Best! Andreas.Pichler Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2635 Posted December 20, 2011 Yes Ronald, "not a Magnette" could be completed "...but why not an MG?" by the reader - that was the intention. Have not thought that it would be so complicated - 100 cars built, eight times more than from the MG 1100/1300 Crayford - a real mass production...;-) Cheers, Andreas

Rona!d Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2637 Posted December 20, 2011 Oh dear, is that British too? Old cars look all the same
Andreas.Pichler Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2638 Posted December 20, 2011 I dont think its british - the brits love wheels with knock-ons, here we have hubcaps. The valve cover indicates that it is not a side valve engine. Relatively small brakes - so it must an older one, maybe around 1925, french or american. I would go for an american car - and the hubcaps are the key... @ Ronald: I have the same feeling concerning pre war cars, especially from the 20ies - sort of lego brick design ;-) Cheers, Andreas
lykaman Posted December 20, 2011 Share #2639 Posted December 20, 2011 Actually it's a very British car..here's a clue "buzzzz"
