The color alone suggests a Lambo, and though the two models clearly share a lot of DNA, I believe this is the Murcielago, so it is over to you Bill. Notice the air intake ahead of the rear wheel? The Gallardo's is taller and less obtrusive.

To get things started, it looks like a fuel lid and trunk (boot) or engine hood (bonnet) for a recent Porsche 911, Boxter or Cayman. But maybe not. The fuel lid seems too close to the other details, and is incorrectly shaped/placed for the Panamera or the Cayenne.

 

Then perhaps from one of it's cousins? No, the new Beetle and the Audis are not like that.
