No huge ugly grill. Side profile is as far removed from the regular squared off look as is possible. From the rear it has a most interesting  shape and dare I say a far better personality than your average truck.. If fitted with the running gear of the latest Prius the angular body would imho be a hit.. It is though, an over enthusiastically priced vehicle..  🍹

Hmmmm......Nope. I can't say that your observations have completely changed my previously expressed opinion. No huge ugly grille? The whole thing is huge and ugly!!! Nor is "a better personality than your average truck" terribly much of an accolade......😸......

Still; "If we all liked the same things..."...etc...etc...etc...

I have a friend in the California, who was very happy to be allotted his Cybertruck. He is now less happy having finished up in hospital when he tripped against the front of the truck and ended up with a very deep laceration on his wrist with a couple of severed tendons, from the razor sharp edge of some of the panels. He is suing Tesla to recover some of his $50,000+ hospital fees.

Seriously? If this car has been approved as street legal by the competent U.S. authorities, I would have thought there is no room for such claims. After all, your friend knew exactly what he was buying. Definitely not my piece of cake though.

I think the law comes back to a stock phrase that lawyers often use: "what would the reasonable man's expectations be if he tripped and tried to steady himself against the front wing of his new vehicle" I think most lawyers would say he might expect to be bruised but he would not expect to have such deep lacerations that he required 2 lots of surgery in consequence. I doubt if relying on: "Well a government agency passed it as safe so it must be" cuts much mustard these days, after all, a division of the same transport agency, the FAA, passed the Boeing 737 Max 8 as safe and look what happened there.

Never forget that US juries have mad huge awards to people who stupid things, such aspect their hot containers coffee between their legs at the drive-through, and spilll it burning their legs.  Or a burger who got locked into a victim's garage while the owner was awsy, and survived for several days on dried dog food and water.  I could go on, but the problem is the US graduates more lawyers than it needs.  The Ter\sla owner will probably prevail in court.

Stuart,

Totally agree. As a retired insurance underwriter, I have myriad examples of US jury awards that seem totally insane. However if it was me and I had leant against the front wing of car to steady myself and incurred such severe injuries that I had a $50,000+ medical bill, I think I would also be suing Tesla.
