stuny Posted September 17 Share #23908 Posted September 17 Quite lovely, though I've only seen one car in matt finish that I like, and it happened to be a Huracan - Matt gray with deep yellow accents.
NigelG Posted September 17 Share #23909 Posted September 17 (edited) I took these with an M9M but they would look the same in colo(u)r…! The first “Matt” Lamborghini I got to drive (on a track day) was in a lovely lemon-y yellow (possibly Giallo “Super Fly”) but this one is much more elegant…though the high granite kerbs in our square are “alloy killers”. NigelG Posted September 17 Share #23911 Posted September 17 Just to correct my previous post - mixed up my SD cards…pics were jpegs on my Q (permanently set to monochrome) not my M9M.
wlaidlaw Posted September 17 Share #23912 Posted September 17 The only Lamborghini I have ever driven is a Miura P400S, which I ended up driving across London in the rush hour in 1971. Not an experience I would care to repeat. Extremely heavy and offset clutch pedal, controlling an in/out clutch, weird driving position (Italian ape), zero low down torque, erratic throttle response (always either too much or too little), recalcitrant gear change, poor visibility, heavy and unprogressive brakes, etc etc. If you set out to design a car to be as difficult to drive in heavy urban traffic, you would probably end up with either a Miura S or Countach. Of course it does not help that everyone is gawping at this fluorescent green object from outer space, rather than looking where they are going. wlaidlaw Posted September 18 Share #23915 Posted September 18 Looks a bit like a Jaguar XK-RS but not sure about the headlights. Wilson
NigelG Posted September 18 Share #23916 Posted September 18 I think it’s rather more exotic than that but I’m wondering if it’s a production model?
ramarren Posted September 18 Share #23917 Posted September 18 (edited) This latest mystery car has an elegant "pininfarina" line to the cabin door but I don't recognize it at all. Pretty! I owned a '64 Lamborghini 350GT way back in the middle 1970s for a time. It was a kick to drive, albeit also a bit of a pain in city traffic, and had the same "whazzat space ship?" response all the time from drivers in other cars. I drive my uncle's Espada a few times, and took a test drive in a Miura once. All three had very very different character and feel; I'm sure very different from these modern space ships. stuny Posted September 18 Share #23918 Posted September 18 Not Jaguar They made 8 of these, and presented it at the Frankfort show the year they made it. At the time it was the second car built by this builder.
