Of course, I wouldn't expect you to show us the emblem; it would be natural to crop it away. But in this case, it should have been visible below the hood if it hasn't been cloned away. Is it common to do that in this thread?...

Yes, evikne, cloning out identifying badges is done in pretty much any photograph where, for the purposes of helping identify the puzzle-car, it is desireable / neccessary to show that part of the car where the badges are affixed.

I would not be surprised if Porsche sue Ora as the Ora bodywork is pretty much a crib of the Taycan...

I'm not sure whether he had any hand in the genesis of the Taycan, Wilson, but the Mystery Car, which is a GWR ORA 03 'Good Cat', was penned by a former Porsche designer; Emanuel Derta;

OK, I'm pretty new here, so I didn't know that. I thought cropping was the only method allowed.

Here is a new car:

To explain my previous comment #22418 it is known as “Funky Cat” in the UK/European market AFAIK

Apologies for the poor quality but this is scanned from a faded old print in one of the family photo albums. I know why this particular photo was taken as well. Given that it is in colour, it would almost certainly have been taken by my father with his Leica IIIa and coated Summar, probably on Ektacolor colour negative film.

You may think this is a motor cycle but it isn't. It even has "Car" in its name. Usual required plus approximate date

Though I've never seen one, your "car" clue suggests Amilcar...

Funnily enough that was my first thought as well!

I have absolutely no idea what the Mystery is but am looking forward to this one as it unfolds. Most peculiar!

Going back to your clue about car in its name, other than Amilcar all I can come up with are:

1.  Cunningham C4R, since the 4 looks like an A

2   OSCA but mispronounced as John F. Kennedy pronounced Cuba with an R at the end.

I'm pretty certain it's neither of those.  I think we need some more hints/crops.

Stuart,

You are miles off. I have shown half the car. If I show the other half it will give it away immediately. Give you a clue - it was made in Essex in around 1952 or 53.
