Alpine 1600S

There is one of the Alpine 1600/1800 cars sitting on a garage roof at the side of the Dieppe ring road (Route de Contournement), quite near the Alpine factory. Spotted it there on Sunday when heading to the ferry. Pretty unpleasant journey back to the UK, with middle aged men, who should know better, getting totally legless and on the quite rough passage, then vomiting all over the floor and other passengers. Yerchhhh!

Sorry folks, still no new car photos so open to anyone who wants to post.

Bean cars were one of the main competitors for the Morris as the car for the middle classes. Morris had a distinct mechanical advantage in its very effective dynamotor starting mechanism. Bean cars outsold Morris and Austin in the early 1920's but finances were never on a sound basis and car production drifted to a halt in 1931.

Not a marque with an initial letter of B.

A more generous crop. plus the first crop.  Even if it doesn't look familiar, comparing them shold give you a stong hint.
