wlaidlaw Posted September 3, 2022 Share #18364 Posted September 3, 2022 One of those horrible cod Mitsuoka Jaguar copies based on a Nissan Micra. My middle daughter was desperate to get one but she settled on a new Mini Cooper instead. Wilson

Whenever I see one, which is fairly often in Japan, I want to shout and throw things at it, but, as I'm a civilized fellow, I just mutter under my breath. You're next! Welcome, dear visitor! Welcome to the Forum. Dear Stuart, According to your post #18359 "The way this thread works is the member correctly guessing the mystery car gets to post the next one." I cannot post until I guess the next car, which I will do when eligible. In the meantime I will take a photograph or two and scan a few from slides and negatives. Thank-you for the Rules. Kind regards, James
wlaidlaw Posted September 4, 2022 Share #18370 Posted September 4, 2022 OK guys here is your next one. I had never seen one of these until someone in the village bought one recently, so I am guessing fairly rare. Usual info required Marque and Model. I don't this model ever changed over the years it was made, so year irrelevant. Given its name, you might be misled on its origins. Wilson Welcome, dear visitor! Rona!d Posted September 4, 2022 Share #18373 Posted September 4, 2022 I would think this is an IBEX.
Rona!d Posted September 4, 2022 Share #18374 Posted September 4, 2022 The coolest gadget of some IBEX is the vector winch. Centrally mounted winch (dry and safe from the elements) providing instant front and rear winching. A neighbour (who also has a classic Land Rover) had one.
Rona!d Posted September 4, 2022 Share #18375 Posted September 4, 2022 Maybe it´s too old for an IBEX which are being produced since about 30 years. Your car also has something from a LR 1/2 ton lighweith for paratroups but it´s maybe something completely different from Asia or India?
wlaidlaw Posted September 5, 2022 Share #18376 Posted September 5, 2022 European and none of the ones mentioned to date. A production vehicle made in at least three different versions and had two different engines fitted at various periods. The later ones were made by two different large manufacturers. The last ones were made in around 2007. Wilson
Rona!d Posted September 5, 2022 Share #18377 Posted September 5, 2022 Is it a Minerva? But those ran out of production about 5 decades ago, not 2007. And there was Santana, but they stopped production a couple of years after 2007. FIAT had the Campagnola which was also built as Peugeot P4.
wlaidlaw Posted September 5, 2022 Share #18378 Posted September 5, 2022 Not a P4 but built by a sub-division of Peugeot (they purchased the previous manufacturer) at the end of its life. Wilson
