Stuart they were all at it in the 60s i.e. incorporating variations of 'coke bottle' styling into their car body designs and it spread to Europe.

Wilson - Actually, that Healey is better looking than I expected.  BTW:  At another recent auction (Gooding in Pebble Beach) a Toyota 2000 rated Restored #1- sold for USD803,000.

Trust me Stuart, in real life it is hideous.

As we know  :)  :)  :), the prices at that Gooding auction were very high. We wish that our 2000 had been finished in time to go there. We might even have got a discount on seller premium for placing two cars with them.

Correct … it's a 1966 Series IV Humber Hawk … but has a 4 cylinder 2267cc engine.

The Super Snipe and Imperial of similar vintage had the Armstrong Siddeley based 6cylinder 2651cc engine.

Here's the next puzzle but might not be too difficult.

The car has the distinction of once being owned by the tallest officer in the British Army … a Guardsman who was 6' 9" … but he was maybe allocated a driver

Yes it's a Rover but not a 12 HP; it's actually a 1939 Rover 20 HP with Salmons Tickford d.h.c. coachwork
