Rona!d Posted July 10, 2011 Share #1803 Posted July 10, 2011 Is it a Saab 99? Indeed it is one. I´m so happy I found an "easy" car and this is one from the "better" days of SAAB. stuny Posted July 11, 2011 Share #1808 Posted July 11, 2011 Gibbo - This appears to be an air intake, perhaps designed by Pininfarina.

stuny Posted July 11, 2011 Share #1810 Posted July 11, 2011 (edited) If the intake is for engine combustion the car has a mid engine. Still can't think of which car it would be, but Pininfarina suggests Ferrari. Edited July 11, 2011 by stuny

Gibbo Posted July 11, 2011 Share #1815 Posted July 11, 2011 Ronald, you're very good at this If I remember correctly, it was a 246 Dino. After the Daytona Spider, my favourite Ferrari Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! stuny Posted July 11, 2011 Share #1816 Posted July 11, 2011 I was thinking of the Dinos, but I was thinking of the air intake from the angle shown on your second photo. I've always like the looks of the 206 and 246. Thanks for showing it to us. BTW: I believe this one is a 246.
kkochheiser Posted July 12, 2011 Share #1817 Posted July 12, 2011 You're right Stu, the front quarter windows indicate 246. A really sweet car to drive. Kent
Rona!d Posted July 12, 2011 Share #1818 Posted July 12, 2011 Thanks, David. A 206 GT would be quite rare, fully alu (246 GT mainly steel, early ones alu doors/bonnet). From the angle of the detail shot I couldn´t exclude a 206 GT though. And this is not a Ferrari, it´s a Dino, always funny to see Ferrari logos on it (not here, the owner seems to have a big enough ego to keep it original ) Wonderful design, love it! Me too tend to 246... even if the angle isn't optimal, the wheelbase seems of 246 (there is a small but appreciable difference in the distance door - rear axis)
