Look at the engravings on the aperture ring. It's the new lens apparently. Here compared to the current one (right) and the pic from the Ukrainian brochure (left).

It's the same 35 mm Summilux ASPH that has been there since 1993.

You mean, 1994.

And—no it's not. If it was then it wouldn't appear in the New Products section. The new Summilux-M 35 mm Asph has a new optical design and includes floating elements.

Rumour says it's even better than the previous (which was no slouch to begin with)—well, any Leica lens so far was an improvement on the predecessor. It is also expected to have less aperture-related focus shift.

However when you navigate to the Leica M Lenses page and select the Summilux-M 35 Asph's Details then right now you will still get the 'old' page describing the previous model.

I'd say... site under maintenance - update during weekend... maybe in a bit naive manner : I' woudn't be surprised if official announcement is made next week.

Those true-false leaks coming from Leica reps begin to sound ridiculous imo. Is there a pilot at Solms?

Yes... but funny anyway... :)... SJP says that at (about) 10:50 it wasn't on... at 8:15 or so it was still on the US site... dunno if there is a pilot in Solms... surely some people who like to joke... :D... unless they have a Web content outsourcer who is really a bit out of control or out of technology...:D

If Leica Rumours to be believed, £3225 or €3750 or $5000. Imminent confirmation but "Ouch!":(

The Ukrainian brochure said EUR 3750 TVA included. Where did you find the other prices if i may ask?
