Just one suggestion, Thorsten, could you add a "what's new" button to your home page so I can quickly check any recent additions? I love your site but do not visit it regularly because I get lost navigating the existing material.

Just a thought ...

Cheers

Robert

Rules for the Use of the Leica Camera User Forum

Industrial Utilization

The Leica forum is funded by sponsors and advertisers. Therefore gratuitous usage for the purpose of advertising is not allowed. Posts / threads with such clearly visible intent or content will be deleted immediately without any comment.

Sometimes I wonder where is the limit among normal and industrial utilization... I couldn't imagine Erwin Puts annoncing here every single new page from his professional web site.

But then, Erwin is not an active contributor to this site. both Thorsten and Chris are valuable members, who give more than they gain from this forum.

So what? It's not because you build roads you're allow to drive on them over the speed limit. Being a Pediatrician, doesn't give you the right to harm a baby. Law is the same for everybody.

And my previous post wasn't addressed to Chris Tribble. He's not responsible.

But we cannot know what Andreas and Thorsten agreed. If the moderation allows it, we should accept it. This is not a road with highway code, this is Andreas' house, and he sets and enforces the rules.

Well I frankly don't care for the politics of any of it anyway. It's always the undoing of every internet forum!

I enjoyed the article, and most of all I enjoyed seeing Chris' excellent work showcased like that. Some great composition but mostly mastery of exposure being, for me, the stand-out aspect of the photo's.

What a mistake it would be for this forum to moderate the voices of professionals who wish to share. In this case the voices of two of our members whos insight I for one have much to gain.

Besides, if Thorsten had not taken his valuable time to post this, I would have and perhaps hundreds of others.

I don’t understand why you’re getting your knickers in such a twist. Is there some hidden agenda here?

I don’t see clearly visible advertising content or intent to advertise in Thorsten Overgaard’s post. What I see is a link to an informative and enjoyable article on his professional web site.

You’ve misinterpreted both the forum rule and the OP’s post. If I were you, I’d stop digging the hole you’re burying yourself in.

Fact is someone else always does it for him. Whenever Erwin Puts a new article, within minutes a new thread pops up. Yet I enjoy them, because not only it allows me to be updated on new stuff but also to have discussions on it. And sincerely, be it Thorsten or Mr Puts, none can be blamed of using their website as commercially orientated platforms.

No, both of them show passion in photography and Leica, and as such any link to what they write is always welcomed and enjoyed !

LOL :D :D

It's you who got the nickers in a twist, not me. Openning a new thread everytime he writes an article or modifies a page in his web site, it just free publicity which is supposed not to be allowed here.

PS: Don't worry about the hole you suppose I'm burying myself ;)

Absolutely agree with Jono, Rog and others with similar sentiments.

Thank you, Thorsten, for providing a link to your website and the article. I found both very interesting and wouldn't have seen them otherwise.
