Fogg's Last Waltz is tempting me grievously these days.

Since life is so fleeting with no guarantee that any of us will avoid the embalmer's table for another day, I see no evil in acquiring a select few possessions that bring a person an enhanced quality of life and a bit of joy.

But you're supposed to want faster, more accurate autofocus, still better WB and even more pixels

Joy is an underused word.

Once you slide your M10 into the Last Waltz, you feel like it has auto focus, the WB looks incredibly accurate and it starts acquiring more pixels immediately..... :p

Fogg's Last Waltz is tempting me grievously these days.

I find it curious that some would balk at the idea of paying $700 USD for a camera bag, but the same outlay of cash for a  half case and matching strap is not considered unseemly.  Both serve the same basic purpose, which is to protect the camera from damage during use, transport and walkabouts.

Fogg, Arte di Mano and Leica - none of these products are necessary for survival.  All three are quality of life products.  Owning and using them brings great satisfaction, enjoyment and fulfillment to some folk.

the hard part is choosing the color and fabric for The Last Waltz.

I have been called at times an iconoclast, an anarchist, a savage and a plague to all that is genteel and proper.  As such, I have never been much for wanting or doing that which I am "supposed" to want or do.

@Bill, it sounds as if the transformational powers of the Last Waltz may mystically enhance my M-P 240 to the point where an upgrade to the M10 will become unnecessary.  This information must be kept from the gents at Wetzlar at all costs lest they buy up all the Last Waltzes and make a bonfire of them out back of Leica headquarters!

Lots of different bags, but for the Leica sized cameras I have a choice of three Billingham bags

And I recently got a nice outfit at a local auction in a

Leitz case which I think is a EBYOO from the early 1960’s

In it was a 90mm f2.8 Elmarit, a 135mm Hektor and a Visoflex 2 set.

Picture to follow...

The larger of the two is the Oberwerth William and the other Oberwerth Harry & Sally.

Both have all around leather that's thick and buttery soft.

Quite tough and looks to wear well.

I like how they hug the body.

No problem with airplane underseats

This is a great topic. Thanks for putting it up. Here is a photo of my Orvis bag. I got it in 1973 & used it a lot. Sometimes I still get it out & carry it.

Not that I actually "need" another satchel type camera bag - but a guy ought to have one of these just for the name alone:  https://nutsacbags.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI36zsi5vD3AIVVZBpCh076QlVEAEYASAAEgJ2bPD_BwE

I'm using a Domke F5XB to carry around 1 body with a lens, and 2 extra lenses with memory cards and batteries. I have an old Tamrac I use to carry extra stuff in the car (like a backup body and more lenses). I'm not totally satisfied with them. You can't browse in a store anymore so I bought the Domke blind and I like it and it works. But it would be nice to have something slightly bigger without much extra weight. I'd like leather but I'm worried it might draw too much of the wrong attention.

I liked Domke for a while because it’s light and flexible, and it’s not an obvious camera bag. But I really couldn’t understand the iron parts in it that potentially damaged my bodies and lenses, they are noisy too, they used velcron too on my time. Perhaps this has changed in the mean time
