Last chance to post some pictures for the Barnack Challenge No 11. Come on! Until now I´am very pleased that there are so many pictures this time. Please cast your votes on this challenge in the usual manner: FIRST PLACE - 3 points SECOND PLACE - 2 points THIRD PLACE - 1 point Please state CLEARLY who you are voting for. As in the last challenges: One, or two votes will be regarded as a "spoiled ballot" and will NOT be counted. Voting will end on Midnight January the 31st! Final results at February 1th 2010. christoph_d Posted January 25, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 25, 2010 Dear all, Here my votes: 1st - like-a-leica, "Dictionaries", 3 points I think it's an excellent interpretation of the theme - in a modern way - and I like books. 2nd - jc_braconi, "Dolls", 2 points A nice, almost classic picture of what I presume to be a "found" scene. The unsharpness distracts a bit on one hand, but it also adds a fitting aura of times gone by, a creaminess often seen in images taken when the Barnacks were originally bought and used. (By the way, this image may also have been a strong contender in "Nostalgia" ) 3rd - Möbi, "Vanitas", 1point Again a modern interpretation of the theme, I particularly like the clear composition and sparing use of colour. Overall a difficult choice... I also like telewatts contribution and the high technical standart he achieved. But also other entries have their charms...
