How many exposures have you taken on your M8's?

My exposure count is around 40,000, without any major problems with the camera since I bought it in April 2007. How about the rest of you on this forum? It would be interesting to see the exposure numbers and how the M8 has held up over the years!

M8 "classic." 42,703 exposures. Purchased early February 2007.

Sensor replacement in March 2009 (just out of warranty--paid parts, labor was waived):

Thanks,

P.S. Sticking this into the thread in case people want to do an actuations lookup:

But how can I find out how many exposures I have been taken.

Can I find out somewhere in the camera menu?

You can tell roughly the number of photos taken from the file number of the last picture taken with camera. If you want to know how many times the shutter has been fired (which will include test firings in the factory) then there's a thread on how to do it here.

Pete.

Bought in May 2007 and have 11475 as of today. I recently found fine lines in the shots that I had taken at ISO640 back in 2008 and sent the camera to Leica USA for possible sensor replacement. Estimate = $1250 (out of warranty). I freaked out and asked them to send it back to me with no repair (I will shoot with films for higher ISOs). Apart from that, 'just' back focus + focus shift with pretty much all my lenses. Oh well :D

Around 21200 since April 2008.

Apart from a new display (coffee ring) in August no issues on the M8 but back focus on the 1.4/50 asph (which was corrected in Solms foc).

The little exercise to narrow down if back/front focus is due to the cam or the lens(es) makes the a very long 2 mm hex key and the viewfinder magnifier your best friends. Nevertheless, it is manageable and I never had any focusing issues since.

Bought my brand new M8 Classic in march 2007. Upgraded the brightlines sometimes in early 2008 when the camera was at Solms to register the rangefinder (vertical misalligned since purchase).

Performed 11000 actuations without a single problem. It is a real mule.

49237 exposures without any problems!

I bought my m8.2 in november 2008.

I love it.

I'm waiting for the upgrade.

Thank you to every one on this forum. I read it every day. I learned so much with your comment. But My english is too bad to write on it.

Have a nice 2010!

17,783 photographs since November, 2008 on my M8.2. This camera has worked for me everyday since receiving it. Great piece of equipment.

(Note: my first M8.2 was replaced due to it not reading lens info. Dealer immediately replaced it as the factory wanted the camera back to investigate the anomalous problem.)
