Test Session - Ferrari F430

Recommended Posts

Mark - John is a very accomplished professional automotive racing photographer who uses his DLSRs for most of the action, but often shows us automotive fine art (and other subjects, too) shot with his stable of D2s. Many of us actually would like to see his action shots -- they are remarkable, and as good as I've seen in following the sport for half a century -- so John gave us the opportunity to do so without breaking Forum rules. In short, please lighten up and try to help us maintain our usually civil atmosphere here.

John - Absolutely lovely, and fun to get behind the scenes.. It appears to be a race preared "normal" 430 and not a Scuderia.

Tedious garbage.

I agree - they'd be better placed in a car or motor-racing forum than a photography one, or one or two shots here with a link to the OP's gallery - but there's a bunch of car enthusiasts here who don't.

Mark, have you seen the Snapshot forum? thread in the Bar? It's just getting round to this sort of question.

The number of times I could have posted "tedious garbage" to photographs of dogs, cats, babies, flowers, birds...... etc is manifold, however, as the old saying goes; "manners maketh man".

btw, I have nothing against any of those things on my list....... except dogs.

I found the shots here and also the linked ones very interesting but I would say that, wouldn't I? :)

Carry on John.

Very enjoyable for me. It's been several years since I have raced at Sebring....never a Ferrari, always Porsche....these shots instantly bring back the sounds, smells and energy of testing. Love it.

Surprised there are no paddles in this one.

Stephan, you need to get yourself an exif viewer, or at least do view properties/get info. It saves from having to ask the obvious, and saves you from making a dunce of yourself on occasion.

As far as I understood, the photos were made with a Canon, right? And if so, it is still possible that they were made with a Leica Lens :D
