Guest mc_k Posted December 26, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 26, 2009 you could get the Lee RF75 holder; then you could use a couple of filters at a time and it would be easier to play around
farnz Posted December 26, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 26, 2009 I use Heliopan screw in ND filters and found them to be fine. Others will advise you to use Schneider filters, which use Schott glass I believe, and are also very good. Pete.
Kurisu Posted December 26, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 26, 2009 Currently I use a B+W ND 0.6 screw on filter. Works like a dream. Allows me to use lenses wide open on sunny days.
gravastar Posted December 26, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 26, 2009 See my post #94 here. You can get ND filters of almost any size from this source. The best ones are the MRC (multi resistant coated). The following links may or may not work to list the available sizes for the 4x and 8x filters. 0.6D 4x 2 stops , 0.9D 8x 3 stops Bob. jaapv Posted December 27, 2009 Share #6 Posted December 27, 2009 One problem, though... You cannot use an ND filter combined with an IR filter on the Summiluxes 21 and 24....
pgk Posted December 27, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Try: Lee Filters Neutral Density these are thin lighting gels but could be cut down and placed behind the IR filter.

frasier Posted December 27, 2009 Share #9 Posted December 27, 2009 Hi there, it is no problem to find ND filters (B&W). But I did not manage to find any graduated grey filters for my Leica lenses. B&W starts at 49mm. Does anybody know a source with 46mm filter thread? Thank you, Jochen
