Hard to pick a "Most Leica Shot" and many already posted are like a step back in time, so here's one like going back in time:

Stuart, yes, it is Turkey. The expression timeless works for this shot though it was taken in 2007 on the island of Buyukada one of the Princes Islands off the coast of Istanbul.

I get to take lots of shots like this, we have our summer home there and commute daily during the summer to the mainland. Each time we step off the ferry coming home it is like setting you watch back 75 years.

im going for the first one. the second while i agree is disturbing, its only on second look that i see the rifleman, is a person. otherwise it looks like a statue.

the first is so direct, and the signage? yikes! dont shoot me? i want to grow up.

that has to be the most upsetting sentiment ever.

its asks the question; do we have to take to the streets carrying signs requesting not to be shot? this go right to the gut, as it should.

tech wise id open up the shadows if you can. id like to see more atten on the protesters.

best,melissa

Great thread and a tough one with so many Leica photos over the years but I have to go with a more modern one from my M8 and 28 mm F2.8 Elmarit ASPH.

wmtupas -nice shot of the clock in the plaza - is that Maui near Kapalua by any chance?

Vic

Hi Vic,

Thanks for looking and for your comment.

Maui? How I wish I was there now! :) Love the laid back atmosphere in Lahaina.

This shot was taken at the Orange Circle in Old Town Plaza in Orange County, California.

My back was to the front of a Starbucks cafe when I took the shot. I got attracted to the folded shades and stacked chairs.

The bikes were left along the side of the cafe by their riders while buying their lattes.

Merry Christmas!

Wil
