wda Posted December 12, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 12, 2009 It does look rather lonely in that big bag! Is that the new system bag?
Rona!d Posted December 12, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted December 12, 2009 It does look rather lonely in that big bag! Is that the new system bag? No, this is the home of the M-System (one M9 body + three lenses)
nhabedi Posted December 12, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 12, 2009 No, this is the home of the M-System (one M9 body + three lenses) You have an M9 now? I though you only had one for testing.
Rona!d Posted December 12, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted December 12, 2009 You have an M9 now? I though you only had one for testing. I mentioned the M9 because this bag also fits the slightly thicker M-body perfect. And you´re right, at the moment no personal M9 in this bag, but other happy M´s. How about a few more? Looks like the modern barnack leica so much!
peterb Posted December 12, 2009 Share #8 Posted December 12, 2009 THAT looks SOLID. Unreal. Thanks for posting. Now let's see some output from the camera's point of view!
Rona!d Posted December 12, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted December 12, 2009 Now let's see some output from the camera's point of view! Nearly the same situation taken with X1
peterb Posted December 12, 2009 Share #10 Posted December 12, 2009 Nearly the same situation taken with X1 Thanks. A bit dreamy in the highlights but overall very nice.

Rona!d Posted December 13, 2009 Author Share #13 Posted December 13, 2009 Thanks. A bit dreamy in the highlights but overall very nice. The light conditions were very "contrasty" and i may also have put some "+" in it. Poor daylight from a window on the left backside, some strong spots from upside/front. ppolla Posted December 13, 2009 Share #15 Posted December 13, 2009 How is the shutter sound? What firmware are you running? I am assuming this is not a pre-production piece. P
robofc Posted December 14, 2009 Share #16 Posted December 14, 2009 Hi, The bag is really nice. Is it leather? It looks really deep for an M. Who makes it?
Rona!d Posted December 14, 2009 Author Share #17 Posted December 14, 2009 How is the shutter sound? What firmware are you running? I am assuming this is not a pre-production piece. P can´t post the shutter sound, but for a camera like this i prefer a "nearly" noiseless something, so I prefer the second lowest volume of the standard camera soundfile. When you switch the soundfile to zero volume, you just notice a very quit click (like with other cameras of that kind). It´s not sexy as an M, but it says: "Click, I´m here and we made a picture" firmware was: 0.7xx
Rona!d Posted December 14, 2009 Author Share #18 Posted December 14, 2009 How is the LCD Screen? Neither the M9 display, nor the X1 display is high end, but fine so far. I can work with that and the menu is well presented.

Rona!d Posted December 14, 2009 Author Share #20 Posted December 14, 2009 Hi, The bag is really nice. Is it leather? It looks really deep for an M. Who makes it? Sure it´s leather. It´s custom made for a small M-system (one body with attached lens like Cron 28, Cron/Lux 35 or 50mm plus two lenses like 21 and 75mm). For further details please send me an PM as this is not a bag thread
