stuny Posted December 3, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 3, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I finally have the pictures form our Papua New Guinea trip posted on our site, so here’s the first of them. In the lowland rainforests, many clans of people live along the rivers, and keep very tight territorial control over their areas. The river is abounding with fish, but certain locations are better. Consequently, some clans have better nutrition than others. In this region it’s the women who fish, which we’ve only seen in one other culture throughout our travels. Here’s one of the fisher women. Plenty more to come. You can see many other fisherwoman photos on the second Papua New Guinea page on our site.
