earleygallery Posted November 26, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 26, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I would like to arrange a London forum meeting - just an informal get together for anyone local or interested, bring some recent photos to show, bring your M8 if you have one! I'd like to propose a few dates and we'll go with whatever is most popular - given that Christmas if fast approaching and we all have to fit our shopping and xmas parties in! Sat 9th Dec, Mon 11th Dec or Sat 13th Jan. I propose meeting at lunchtime if a Saturday or 7pm on a Monday. So, you can fit a meet around some xmas shopping or save it up for the January sales! andybarton Posted November 27, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 27, 2006 James Unfortunately, I will not be able to join you, but I wish I could. Have a fun! William Drinks are consumed on all these occasions (In Manchester last week, it was only coffee I'm afraid, but I am sure other beverages could be arranged ) Berlin has very good beer, so I am told. DTD Posted November 27, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 27, 2006 I can vouch for the Berlin beer! Won't be able to make it, but I'll be on my annual jaunt with Mrs D to London the week before, so I'll keep my eye out for good locations.
bill Posted November 27, 2006 Share #7 Posted November 27, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) My vote is 13th January - pre-Christmas is already a logistical nightmare! Venue? Somewhere near Bloomsbury/Tottenham Court Road/New Oxford Street/High Holborn, methinks...! Regards, Bill
spylaw4 Posted November 27, 2006 Share #8 Posted November 27, 2006 I'm afraid the lure of S American sunshine is too strong - I shall be away over all the suggested dates, otherwise I would certainly have come along! Have a great time!

bill Posted November 30, 2006 Share #11 Posted November 30, 2006 It's in the diary. It strikes me that if there are enough of us to make it worthwhile, perhaps we could arrange with Len to descend on RG Lewis en masse to see what's new? Guest hammertone Posted November 30, 2006 Share #12 Posted November 30, 2006 Having worked for two years in the Holborn area, I can recommend Strada (6 Great Queen St) for Italian food and Wolfe's (30 Great Queen St) for American food. Will be there again next week but won't make it in January. Have fun.

biglouis Posted December 16, 2006 Share #16 Posted December 16, 2006 James I've been following the thread and if you don't mind a newbie coming along I'd be interested in coming on the 13th Jan, if that is the date. I live in North London so Holborn is convenient for me. LouisB

brunom Posted January 1, 2007 Share #18 Posted January 1, 2007 James That sounds like a great idea, and i'll see if I can come along - but I think Len's little shop couldn't take a mini invasion Bruno
gravastar Posted January 1, 2007 Share #19 Posted January 1, 2007 James That sounds like a great idea, and i'll see if I can come along - but I think Len's little shop couldn't take a mini invasion Bruno I think immediately in the New year Len is moving to temporary premises nearby in Sicillian Ave. Then he's moving to Southampton Row. There is/was a notice in their window. If I'm not mistaken the shops in Sicillian Ave. are quite deep, they go back a long way. Bob.
