Hi everyone, Not sure how much coverage the UK-EU referendum is receiving outside Europe, but thought I’d share these photos I grabbed this past Friday. This was the day all of us in the UK awoke to the referendum results. Figuring there would be a lot of unrest in the capital, I headed down to Whitehall and Downing Street after work; sure enough, the protests (while small for London) were underway. Photos and further context here: https://colepeters.exposure.co/brexit-day-one Photographed with the M Typ 262 and 28mm Elmarit-M (IV).

I wasn't sure if this classed as street or just people so I put it here to be safe. Another shot from my trip to the Christmas markets in Manchester last weekend. We bought a lovely set of nutcracker Christmas tree decorations from this market stall and I managed to snap this quick photo whilst my wife was queuing to pay. C/C always welcome. Looking, unsuccessfully, for a pod (bean bag) this afternoon, in central London, I found that both Park Cameras and Jessops now do Leica. Perhaps they have been doing it for years and I just haven't noticed, but it seems to be a sign that their production must now be keeping up with demand. A couple of years ago, no normal retailer would have stocked Leica because they would just have had lots of frustrated, disappointed potential customers. Not sure what the story behind Robert White's decision not to stock Leica was, but I expect that sales requirements of £X, to be a distributor, but supply of £Y (< £X) could be part of the story.

It was the annual Gay pride event in my home town of Southampton, and there was the usual plethora of street vendors including the balloon sellers. This guy only sold unicorn belloons, and made an interesting subject. This is a very colourful event and it would have been easy to be overwhelmed by the colour, but I made the decision to shoot it b&w: Leica M240 + 50mm Summicron-M f2 Gerry

A woman waiting to welcome the first client at the opening of a yoga class (Southampton, England) - verbal permission given. I spotted this as I was walking down the street and asked for permission to photograph her (very unusual for me to ask!). I had the 24mm Elmarit-M f2.8 ASPH fitted, so I shot with what I had. Leica M240 + 24mm Elmarit-M f2.8 ASPH. 1/180 f16 @ 400iso. Gerry
