I've been using the CL for many years, (2018 I think) and as much as this system is perfect in size and in the quality of the images produced, it suffers from a few imperfections linked to its autofocus which sometimes makes it frustrating compared to more current systems. I was able to use the Q3 43 for a few days, and I'm won over by this camera, but I find that it still suffers from a few shortcomings in terms of autofocus, particularly in face recognition, and this is an important point for me. In terms of pure image quality, it's beautiful, it's clean, but less impressive than the Summilux Q2/Q3 28 in my opinion... It's true that I'm in love with the Summilux M 35, TL35 rendering. Unfortunately, the Q3 28 is not an option for me, as it doesn't suit my eye. The 43mm focal length is interesting, right between the 35mm I love on the M and the 52 equivalent I use on the CL with the TL35. Does the Apo 43 really deliver what I'm looking for in terms of rendering? hard to answer over a short period of use... For the moment, I find the CL + TL35 rendering very close to the Q3 43, hence my questioning. Another thought is an SL3 with or without S and an APO 35 or 50 lens, but the system loses a lot of compactness... I'd love to hear your comments

Hi! I'm considering an assignment (one of my friends' daughters is getting married) but I'm not entirely sure about photographing a wedding with cameras that only has one memory card slot and slow AF. Photography is not my occupation and I sold all my professional equipment last year. I don't have many details so far. It’s not a big wedding and I expect the bride and groom to be followed for 2-4 hours for ceremony photography, portraits, some group photos, and reportage photos until dinner. I had a Leica Q for many years, before I replaced it with a Q3. I've had the Q3 43 for about six months. Unfortunately, I haven't used the Q3 and Q3 43 much yet, and am therefore a bit unfamiliar with the limitations for now. I've photographed weddings before, but with two camera bodies (Canon 1Dx, R3, R5 etc, lots of lenses to choose from, both fixed focal lengths and zoom) In many ways, one could argue that a lot weddings have been photographed with much simpler cameras, but I'm still wondering if anyone has concrete experience with a comparable case.

My apologies in advance - I'm sure there must be threads on this from mid-2023, but I can't find one. Leica allows Q3 owners to bring a little bling with lens caps, round lens hoods, thumb supports, hotshoe covers, and soft release buttons, in blasted brass, silver anodised aluminium or black anodised aluminium. It seems like Leica missed some opportunities: Thread protection rings in blasted brass or silver anodised? I use the protection ring when I'm using filters as find filters and hoods never play together nicely. Red. Obviously red would never appeal to the black dot brigade, but neither should brass, and we have that. Red seems like such an obvious colour for bling. (I know the Danish fellow does red hoods, but I've seen too many red flags about him). Dark green. The dark green finish of the Reporter version could be completed with matching thumb supports &c. Vantablack. Maybe a special Vantablack dot so it appears to disappear into a void. I suppose this is more of an anti-bling ... Apart from good taste, what have I missed?
