Hi, the last week end I have been shooting a lot of long-exposure pictures with my M11m + Leica hand grip. The Arca-swiss compatible hand grip makes it very easy to put and remove the camera from the tripod. However, I am really missing an L-bracket when it comes to vertical shots. What solution do you recommend? Is there an L-bracket which I can put on top of the Leica hand grip and easily remove when I am done with the long-exposure work? Thanks

Just a short note to tell you about a new way I've found for attaching the Leica S to the tripod's head. It's via the Novoflex L-Bracket. With it it's possible to go quickly from horizontal to vertical without changing the tripod's head position, something every L-Bracket should allow. This Novoflex part has an Arca-Swiss profile, and fits seamlessly in the Castel-Q rail. Together they form a quite small and light panorama rig, for rotating around the nodal point. Besides, this L-Bracket gives a good grip for the left hand. And with it the camera can rest, both horizontally and vertically, on a flat surface without the danger of scratching it...

Hi everyone, I´ve been looking for a good fit L-bracket for the SL2 lately and tried some options. I'd thought I´d share my findings with some pictures (below) to maybe help anyone out who's looking for an L-bracket for the SL2. The options I´ve tried are: Kirk ULB-1 3 Legged Thing Ellie Markins PV 100 & LV 170 For me personally I decided that the Markins is the best fit. It is also the lightest and generally has the smallest footprint thanks to the fact that it is possible to have the bracket part adjusted for a snug fit to the side of the camera. Obviously one cannot access any of the ports with the bracket mounted like that, but I don't usually need to. Obviously the Markins is also easily adjusted to extend the bracket part so that the ports are accessible. The Kirk comes in second for me, what I don't like about it on the SL2 is that the bottom main screw for the tripod socket is only adjustable "sideways" and the preset positions are not a good fit for the SL2´s tripod screw that is relatively far towards the back of the camera. Also the bracket part is not adjustable in distance to the body. However, with it mounted it is possible to still easily open the bottom port flap to access the USB-C port for example for charging. The 3 Legged Thing gave me a "gimmicky" impression. It felt a bit wobbly, probably because of the gap in the bracket part (that obviously also has advantages for cable management, I don't need this though). It also comes fairly close to the strap lugs and could cause issues when using a strap. Hope this helps anyone looking for an L-Bracket for their SL2. On a side note, I'm not a big fan of the RRS way of designing brackets for the SL range. They make an already large camera even larger and are also heavier than the other options. However, once they come out with their SL2 version I´ll probably have a second look... I also have some more pictures with different perspectives, let me know if you're interested (didn't want to clutter the thread too much)😀

Hi, which accessories from previous SL cameras are compatible with the new SL2-s? In particular I am looking for a thumbs-up and an L-bracket, do you have recommendations? The L-bracket should be simple, small and easy to attach/detach. Thank you

I am looking for an L-Bracket, with Arca Swiss compatibility, for use with my Leica CL camera. Occasionally it will be used with tele-zoom lenses, but mostly with smaller lenses. There are a few threads on this subject in the forum, dealing specifically with bigger cameras, but none that I could find relevant to the CL. Googling brings up a lot of brand-specific solutions; a few claim to be universal. I would welcome any reports from members of this forum, of user experience with such a device, and recommendations. Thank you.

Has anyone found a source for a Leica SL2 L-plate with Spider holster pin? I've checked RRS and ProMediaGear.com without success. Maybe I'm not searching well enough. I'd appreciate anyone else's discoveries. Because of ongoing neck and back trouble getting worse lately, I can no longer wear cameras on straps around my neck. I need to clip them at my waist with the Spider holster system, which I already have. Thanks.
