Anyone found out how to get the Q2 geotagging with the Leica Fotos App actually working? Despite the latest updated (‘improved’) firmware, I am still experiencing problems, notably with all the images of one shoot being tagged with the start location only. The alternative with a gps app running on my iPhone simultaneously works flawlessly.

For what it is worth.... I just picked up a JOBO photoGPS today, Not perfect but it works, and pretty easy too. Very small fits easy on top of the M8 The unit is permanently on "kind of" it goes in the hotshoe and when it senses a images being captured by the camera, it briefly turns on for less than a second to capture a snapshot of GPS transmission. unlike normal GPS units which capture and calculate the position right there, the PhotoGPS just captures a bit of the position broadcast, then let your computer figure this out later. the advantage is a huge battery life, which can go into weeks. the great part is that there is no need to turn on or off, just stick it in the hot-shoe and start taking pictures. At home I stuck the SD card in the laptop. and when the import menu came up I ignored it for a moment and first started the JOBO tagging software. first click to import GPS data, then select the folder on the card.. finally click TAG. this will assign the coordinate data to each image. Once tagges - import to your regular application as always. in my case that is Lightroom and the data info show up there in the meta-data. There is one catch. The software do not edit the DNG file, instead it creates a XML file, lightroom read this. I select all in the library view in light room and "read from file" then write. done now the DNG files have also been tagged. The unit charges from a USB port, full charge in 2 hours, enough for about 1000 images. that ought to last me for the day. .

Was mache ich falsch?? Danke für Eure Hilfe! Viele Grüße Sonja
