flanoizele Posted December 16, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, First of all let me tell you that I am very new to this forum and even to photography in general. I bought my first camera in January (Fuji X-E1) and, as soon as I completely fell in love with B&W photography, decided to acquire my very first rangefinder in September. Now I just completed my first project, a documentary of the daily lives of our elderly in a retirement home. I would be so grateful if you could take a brief moment of your time to give me some feedback and share your thoughts and advise with me on how to improve my photography skills. Unfortunately I was not able to attach photographs in this message but you can find a first selection here : https://www.facebook.com/ChasingSoulsPhotography Flickr: Chasing Souls - Photography by F. Lanoizelé's Photostream Thanks a lot... Frédéric

paulsydaus Posted December 16, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 16, 2013 Very nice stuff, but personally I prefer people posting images to the forum itself rather than links. In your case I made an exception because you're new!
flanoizele Posted December 16, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted December 16, 2013 I really tried but I am abroad with only my iPad and I just can't upload my images... Each time I push the upload button nothing happens... My apologies for this!
stuny Posted December 16, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 16, 2013 Frédéric - Welcome to the Forum. You have an excellent eye, and the quality and quantity of you photos on Flickr suggest that you are joking when you wrote that you are new to photography. Here's a link showing how to post images directly on the Forum, and I imagine it would work on your iPad: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/about-leica-forum/144293-how-upload-photos-forum.html In the future I most strongly urge you to place images directly here since many of us will not click through. flanoizele Posted December 16, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted December 16, 2013 I will most certainly do so... Normally I am working from home and I imagine that it should be a piece of cake.... I was not joking at all I already made a couple of pics before, but nothing serious... My Fuji I bought in January I think... But thanks a lot for the kind words Frederic

Karl G Posted December 16, 2013 Share #9 Posted December 16, 2013 Frédéric, I work daily in a similar environment. Your pictures are wonderful and show the compassion and caring of so many people who truly seek to give comfort, meaning and joy to the lives of residents. fotografr Posted December 17, 2013 Share #11 Posted December 17, 2013 Outstanding series of candid portraits. Tonal range and control of light are exceptionally well handled. You don't need any advice. Just keep doing what you're doing.
