wilfredo Posted November 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm Cuban/Puerto Rican, born in the Bronx. Dance is in the blood. These are Puerto Rican Bomba y Plena dancers performing last Saturday at Hosts Community College (CUNY) in the Bronx. Can you hear the percussion? Welcome, dear visitor! roguewave Posted November 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted November 25, 2013 Wilfredo, a most excellent subject matter & well crafted images. Close my eyes & I'm on El Malecon, the waves exploding onto my face & the breeze cooling my brow!

wilfredo Posted November 26, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted November 26, 2013 Thank you all. The dance company (Danza Fiesta) absolutely loved the photos and will use them. It's great to give back to the community. :-)

likalar Posted November 27, 2013 Share #12 Posted November 27, 2013 Excellent photographs on many levels. Great idea to shoot in b-w, as festive dance troop photos are often over the top with colors, and distract from the amazing forms of motion. Your choice, on the other hand, simplifies the forms. Really nice work! Larry
wilfredo Posted November 27, 2013 Author Share #13 Posted November 27, 2013 Thank you all once again! Larry: My sentiments exactly. The dance troupe appreaciated the photos and will use them to promote their work. I spent what is for me a fotune on the MM but it's a tool I will put at the service of others to promote causes and the arts. This new Leica is not just a toy for me to enjoy, as much as I do enjoy it! Hallelujah! Happy Thanksgiving to all!
