Yesterday in Festhalle Frankfurt/Germany:

Would I've known that it could be so easy to get in with all my camera equipment ...

Okay, so all photos taken with M8 and 75 Summilux.

It was a great show, I was really glad and happy to be there. In my younger days (in 1987) I've seen Rush the same place ;) (Festhalle Frankfurt).

For me, Rush is an outstanding Rock-Act, highly dynamic in these days, young as ever, relevance of lyrics, the group, the humour, and their philosophy nearly unlimited.

So all you Rush fans out there: Where are you?! :D

Alex Lifeson on guitars, Geddy Lee on bass, and Neil Peart on drums. Here, Geddy on the keys:

In the eighties, Rush adopted the then modern sound to keyboards and synthesizer heavily. So on pictures like this, one could guess that they are playing material from the eigthies :) .

Nice image! Steely Dan I know and like, but Rush.....? never even heard of them!

Thanks!

So, if you know the cosmos of Steely Dan already, there is no need to hear any music else, eh? ;) But when ever you feel, you should give a try to another rock band, why not Rush?

They are completely different from Steely Dan, but the variety of themes and sounds, backed up by the solidity of a team of three men is overwhelming.

A big, big Thank you, Neil!

Of course, to know nothing about Alex, Geddy & Neil is so sad ...

Thanks for your comment, you made me glad that at least a second one Rush coinaisseur is active here  .

Interesting photo from Rush in Dublin with the incredible view on drums from above. Really nice concert pics on your web site.

Markus, Thanks for your comments! The first shot on the link you included is excelent.

Unfortunately over here getting into a concert with anything other than a compact camera is very difficult so my images are restircted to using my LX5 for big gigs and sometimes my M8 for smaller ones which a friend of mine smetimes puts on.

Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff,.We have a few big names coming though here soon ( Iron Maiden, Journey, BCC and Whitesnake to name a few) so hopefuly i'll get something worth posting.

Been a fan for years...always thought Moving Pictures was one of the seminal rock albums of the 80's. Impressed that you got an M8 in there, good shots in tough conditions. Did they play The Camera Eye?

Thanks! :)

Of course they played the whole album Moving Pictures including The Camera Eye.

As an introduction to this complex piece they had a not so serious video sequence :D :
