Iduna Posted August 8, 2012 Share #7 Â Posted August 8, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) very good series. These old lenses require a lot of skill. The bokeh is magnificent. For me No 1 is a most charming portrait. Play with colours and sharpness and depth of field is inspiring. Let us have more.

JeffoJeffo Posted August 9, 2012 Author Share #13  Posted August 9, 2012 Yes. It's a great combination. Camera improves with digital but lens improvement was not much for the last decade. Feel so great to see what those optic master had achieved more than half a century ago.  Cheers  Jeff

COOP666 Posted August 11, 2012 Share #15  Posted August 11, 2012 I only shoot with "old" lenses - I can't afford any of Leica's new lenses! I love using my 50mm Summicron collapsible with my M9 - the uncoated lens gives a softer look, with less contrast, and give the digital images a film quality.  In fact, looking at these photos makes me think I need to break it out today...  L1005467.jpg by COOP666, on Flickr  L1005452.jpg by COOP666, on Flickr  L1005412.jpg by COOP666, on Flickr  L1008769.jpg by COOP666, on Flickr
JeffoJeffo Posted August 12, 2012 Author Share #16 Â Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks Coop666 sharing your old lens photos here. Yes, yours is a great lens. I like it too. Just like other uncoated old lenses, they all afraid of strong light but if you handle it right they offers you film like photos n incredible bokeh. Great shots!
