Other pictures from the Copenhagen Challenge films

I haven't seen a thread yet for the photos from the One Challenge films, which didn't make it in the competition. So I thought, I give it a start.

Three images from the warming up phase*, rather touristy - Hot-Dog with Pølser (sausages) are very popular in Denmark. The pastry shop shown appears to be quite popular as well, especially, since people leaving it are smiling. I guess everyone took a shot of the manned advertisings.

Any other interesting shots from your competition rolls?

Portra 400, M-P, 35mm pre-asph Summilux.

*From earlier Challenges I have learned, that it is important to get going immediately, if just by taking touristy pictures

Thanks for starting this thread. Here's a few black and white from the Copenhagen trip. Some were taken during the Leica One day challenge.

I bet you can guess the lens on this one by the background bokeh....

I was going to do my night shot entry around here, but I couldn't find the garage on the official night...

I told Erl I had to break a window to get this shot... I almost entered this one...

what a good idea, stefan. there were many good photo subjects in copenhagen that weekend but, you are right, it takes some time to get warmed up and begin 'seeing' properly.

here are three i'd like to share:

* the boy on the anchor was sooooooo pleased that he was able to climb even 1.5 meters up the slippery wood.

* the musicians genuinely enjoyed their afternoon entertaining us. my bonus was to catch andy barton shooting the same subject from a different angle. :)

* i didn't know that nutella and bananas could make people so aggressive, but the crepes seller was ready to carve us all up with his spatula.

greetings from hamburg

Here are a couple of contenders for the contest which didn't make the cut

The first was my intended venue . . . but I'd miscalculated the lens - the other two were just things that popped up.

All these (and those above taken with the 50 'cron APO ASPH

Lovely Dan - I love the night contest contender - and the last shot - excellent black and white as well.

thanks, carsten. i'll look later to see how much detail is in his sunglasses. for now, i'm pretty sure that i'm in the reflection, and also that i'm the reason for his 'aggression' because i was pointing a fat camera at him. he settled down when i bought one of his crepes! :D

detail shot, as requested.

the crepes seller is brazilian, and probably loves to put on a show. in this case, the show was directed at the big tourist with the big camera who was invading his space. we both enjoyed the moment (and the crepe was great)!

kind regards

This one I also like very much, but I was lucky not to put this in, because one entries has had nearly the same perspective and content, only without the stretch limo passing by...

I go regularly to Copenhagen on business trips. So, I recognise most of the scenes. Whenever I am in Copenhagen I go for walks after work to take photographs. And I regularly visits Photographica, possibly the only really dedicated camera shop left in Scandinavia.

Very nice pictures!

In case you didn't have time to visit the Glyptotek (near Tivoli), the National Gallery or the Royal Palace, here are three postcards for your collection. The museums are well worth a visit on your next trip to Copenhagen.

Rick

ps. I'm sorry I missed Photographica, Olsen, but I probably would have returned home with a IIIf or something!
