enboe Posted March 14, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 14, 2007 Thanks for letting me know that not only are they open, they are shipping. I was a little nervous sending Paypal for a Steps set ($161) to an unverified, foreign account, but with the feedback here, I will rest better. jaapv Posted March 14, 2007 Share #5 Posted March 14, 2007 They are honest. I deal with them on a money-sent-in-envelope basis.
wparsonsgisnet Posted March 14, 2007 Share #6 Posted March 14, 2007 Thanks for posting, Guy. I've seen that site before but either didn't notice the Steer or it wasn't in the inventory. I ordered one too.

Eric, your Steps will be shipped to you shortly, no need for worries. Bill, your Steer has been shipped to you, it should arrive shortly. Thanks again for the positive feedback. Guest guy_mancuso Posted March 16, 2007 Share #8 Posted March 16, 2007 Yes mine was longer because Rik was getting everything back up again so for others that should not be the issue at all. Rik is a good guy and responded immediately to me when I purchased it and let me know of there estimated shipping and i just let the order go through . But there up and running at full speed now. Great folks and products. The steer is very helpful in focusing the 75 lux
farnz Posted March 16, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted March 16, 2007 Rik, I also placed an order a few days ago for a couple of hooks, a shine and a stash so I'm looking forward to them too. Glad to see that Leicagoodies is trading again and the best of luck for the future. I'm looking forward to whatever new innovations you may choose to offer in the near future. If you could come up with a clever gadget for quickly changing lenses on an M8 while keeping the dust out I'll beat a path to your door! Pete. Rik Posted March 16, 2007 Share #10 Posted March 16, 2007 Hi Pete your order was shipped to you yesterday. i'll think about the M8, it's also a good excuse to buy an M8 myself to really investigate for now i'm a film person, using a range of Ms. Thanks for your best wishes Rik
JT07 Posted March 17, 2007 Share #11 Posted March 17, 2007 I can personally highly recommend "The Steer" I purchased one last year and use it on the Noctilux all the time. I don't have a 75mm and had actually bought it for the 90 Cron. Once you've used it, you'll never take it off. It's a simple design but it just plain works. It makes focusing a breeze. farnz Posted March 17, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted March 17, 2007 For anyone's interest: order placed in London on Wednesday pm, goods arrived through regular mail from Holland on Saturday am. That's what I call excellent service. Pete.

cbretteville Posted March 20, 2007 Share #17 Posted March 20, 2007 I have the steer for my nocti, nice little device. Has anyone tried the spins on an M8? Digital Pinhole? Yes, I hava a 21mm Spin that I tried briefly (two shots). Hadn't looked at the results until now and decided not to post for now. They were badly underexposed. I'll do some more tests tonight. - Carl

cbretteville Posted March 20, 2007 Share #19 Posted March 20, 2007 Peter, Here is one. 180sec at f160 (!) iso160. My very dimly lit library, just two 15W lightbulbs in the lamps you see in the shot (plus some light coming through form the hall and kitchen. Haven't tried it outdoors on the M8 yet. No sharpening applied, converted from raw in ACR3.6, B&W with Fred's BW Workflow pro. Forget colours and as long exposures as this. IR galore. And btw, its a 28mm Spin. Lutz was sold out of the 21 when I ordered in December. - Carl
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! cbretteville Posted March 20, 2007 Share #20 Posted March 20, 2007 So someone is bound to ask what the colour version lokks like so here goes. This one is straight out of the camera, I haven't even bothered setting the white ballance. just straight conversion and the same slight curve I applied ot the B&W version. The curtains and chairs are grey, as is the colour of the walls. Welcome, dear visitor!
