roguewave Posted September 22, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 22, 2013 Quit an intimate dance. That's as close as one can get.

Frank Sellitto Posted September 22, 2013 Share #6 Posted September 22, 2013 Vigil, The 1st one does it for me. Your control of the lighting and the intimate execution of the scene is to be commended. Not an easy recipe. It points to Larry Fink's 'Social 'Graces'. Well done! ~f

Timmyjoe Posted September 22, 2013 Share #8 Posted September 22, 2013 Forced to choose, I'd go with #1, but #2 really adds something to the tale. Nicely done Virgil.

schmolinski Posted September 27, 2013 Share #10 Posted September 27, 2013 Virgil, great, simply great. The intimacy you achieve with the first image is outstanding. Since I am also thinking about the purchase of the MM I would be happy to hear from you what are the main challenges when switching from m9 to MM. Thank you in advance. vdb Posted September 28, 2013 Author Share #12 Posted September 28, 2013 Thank you friends. Frank, thank you for introducing me to Fink's work. An inspiration for sure. Dario, the transition is seamless. One major change is that the histogram represents the RAW image, not the JPEG as in the M9 and most all cameras. So if you blow the highlights there is no recovering them. Otherwise not much functional changes...I can't imagine a better tool for digital B&W.
Cyril Jayant Posted September 29, 2013 Share #13 Posted September 29, 2013 Excellent monochrome Now I believe what this camera can do. Great.
