Body leather wear on black M-A - a question for owner

May i pose a question to new M-A owners, especially owners of black chrome models?

 

I have been browsing M-A cameras online and have noted even slightly used black chrome M-A bodies show the leather separating from the body above the strap lugs and wearing thin in that area. The two examples on auction right now even look like the leather had stretched at that spot.

 

Is this isolated to just the bodies I have seen, or have others observed the same with their cameras?

 

Also, I have not seen this on silver M-A bodies, but the sample population is much smaller.

I've not yet had any issues.

No problem here. As FrozenInTime has mentioned. No difference between the MA or my M6 .85. In fact, though I wouldn't expect to see anything yet, no obvious wear anywhere after 70+ rolls of film.
