stunsworth Posted November 14, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 14, 2009 Malcolm Taylor's a good choice since he's done work for Leica in the past on their old cameras, and I've been very pleased with work he's done for me. Michiel Fokkema Posted November 14, 2009 Share #4 Posted November 14, 2009 +1 for Wil van Manen. Cheers, Michiel Fokkema
Guest suilvenman Posted November 15, 2009 Share #5 Posted November 15, 2009 You could also check out CRR Luton (UK) website. Peter Grisaffi specialises in Leica repair and restoration and I've had excellent service from him in the past. For earlier screwmount cameras his site indicates between 80 - 85 pounds sterling (about 90 -95 euros) for shutter repair. Cheers, Ken.
farnz Posted November 15, 2009 Share #6 Posted November 15, 2009 +1 for Malcolm Taylor. Malcolm's a precision engineer who is very friendly, entertaining and keen to chat. He's just removed fungus from and CLA'd my 80 Summilux-R and did an excellent job quite cheaply imho. Pete.

topoxforddoc Posted November 15, 2009 Share #11 Posted November 15, 2009 Another vote for Peter Grisalfi at CRR. He's a great guy to deal with, BUT PHONE him, Don't email him! He's very busy and prefers to speak to people.
JHAG Posted November 16, 2009 Share #12 Posted November 16, 2009 + 1 for MT. He adjusted my 75 Lux for front focussing (almost) to perfection, and when I told him we could do slightly better, he offered graciously to fine tune it a little further. He also coded both 75 and 21 Elmarit, and his prices are the most reasonable I've known so far (more or less the same prices as Will van Manen).
