  1. Another recommendation I got, which sounds very logical actually, is to calculate of % difference between Rodinal and Paranol base developing times and then apply that % to increased Rodinal processing times which I’ve used to use for push processing. Yes 1+100 works ok with Rodinal, I might give a try to Paranol as well.
  2. Yes, can do that. How can I find 1 push and 2 push timings with a single roll? Any practical way to do it?
  3. If you are looking for a lab in UK, I can recommend Palm or AG Labs in Birmingham, have used both and they are always great.
  4. Hi Steve, Thanks for your reply, however I happen to have already some Paranol S now (unfortunately bought them thinking I could use my Rodinal times, little I did know it is not exactly the same)
  5. Hi all, So I’m guessing due to Brexit, Rodinal is not coming to UK and out of stock everywhere. Paranol S is supposedly same as Rodinal, I’m assuming old Rodinal as the developing times are different. So as Paranol is not widely used, the push processing developing times are not widely available so I’m wondering what factor you’d use for push processing, say 1x 2x and 3x. I use mainly HP5, K400, F400 films. Cheers, Fatih
  6. I have their 4x5 enlarger and it is pretty good, except requiring alignment check frequently. Ive joined KS too at this one looks bit more stable.
  7. I don't use squeegee any more, used once, scratch the roll, so now stopped it completely. I use distilled water for all chemicals (dev, stop and fixer), except during 2 wash cycle after fixer and before Ilfotol, then Ilfotol cycle again with distilled water. Then I just hang them, no water mark. Sometimes I do salad spinner technique as well which is equally good. I am, personally, against to any item touches film when it is wet.
  8. Try salad spinner, works like a charm
  9. Sorry Adan, I haven’t seen May increase on films from my shop, prices were the same since the beginning of the year till now. Maybe my shop has digested May increase increase but have decided to reflect October one on the prices. Apologies
  10. May increase was on chemicals and other sundries, October one is on films and papers but yes everything is getting more expensive. I hope that won’t hurt their overall books
  11. AG did unfortunately, 10x HP5 used to be £50, now it is £56
  12. I had the same problem, as I wanted to scan with the borders so at the end I made my own holder Black tape guides the film in between 2 glass, top one is ANR, bottom one is a standard one.
  13. Because I am going to use 4x5 camera, the lens does not get close enough to focus apparently
  14. Thanks a lot. I have bought a Ragadon Apo 50, on the way from Germany but later realized my enlarger kit won't allow me to use it as I'll use $x5 camera with enlarger kit (Intrepid), so I have to use 100/105mm lens for both 35mm and 6x9 films
  15. Hi all, so I’m building my enlarger to print my photos up to 6x9 and it’s time to acquire the enlarger lens. I have opportunity to get a brand new Rodagon or for £100 less I can get a Componon S. which one is a better lens? I’ll enlarge probably up to 5x but more importantly I will use the lens to enlarge 35mm as well and probably up to 15x ( to print 8x10 requires 7x enlarging as far as I understand, so maximum I’d go for would be 16x20)
