The weather was varied - too hot, too cold, raining, dry. Karl Marx’s parquet was a disappointment. Found a very nice hoist. M10 R, Son of Summaron-M 1:5.6 28

Editing software for someone with limited experience
Exodies replied to Ludders's topic in Digital Post Processing Forum
Apple photos is very good, takes dngs -
There is a problem with the site in safari on ipad - you have to tap twice on the dot or star next to a tread title to go to the newest unread post. The position is also often way out for the first unread post.

Unless an act of stunning stupidity has taken place the usb port is not open to the inside of the camera. For example ipads with a usb port can be washed in the bath if necessary.

I suppose RRS will produce one but could you tell us what the point is (unless it’s for the dovetail tripod mount; i get that)
-
What Tobey says. I use a Peak Design clip-on wrist strap.

Exodies started following Copenhagen

I thought there was a meeting in Copenhagen under discussion but can’t find it. Have I missed it, was it abandoned, did I imagine it?

I carry a digital M every day. Usually with only one lens (21, 28, 35, 50, 90) but will pack 50 if I’m wearing 21 or 90. EVF with the 21, spare battery and SD card in a Billingham Hadley small. Wear the bag with the strap across your chest and long enough so that with your arm straight down you can just slightly lift the bottom of the bag with your fingers to give your shoulder an occasional rest. I visit the same places many times which is how I get away with only one lens. Bear in mind you don’t focus a rangefinder camera, you measure the distance to your chosen point. The view in the finder is always in focus. Keep both eyes open. Adjusting the range to water is difficult. (every day is a lie; I sometimes carry a bloody heavy SL2 with a bloody heavy SL lens)

Unsupported software is susceptible to having security flaws found and to corrupting data due to the environment it runs in being changed. This is in addition to problems caused by insecurities in any service provider. Like insurance, software updates are not about the past but the future.
-
The problem with old software isn’t whether it works or not it is that it is not supported. Running unsupported software is only ok if you don’t care about your data.
-
Pointless on a mobile device. The environmental light will cause more deviation from perceptions of a standard than factory settings do.

Switching from M10 to SL2-S? But what about Leica-look?
Exodies replied to wolan's topic in Leica SL System
The Leica look is that which, when you factor out variations in developing/editing, printing/scanning, bit depth, colour space, compression, display lighting, one’s own oafish insensitivity- stands out like a needle in a haystack. -
Yes, you can, but it’s very slow. Use the share icon (arrow coming out of a square) in the Fotos gallery and Lightroom should be one of the options. Unless it’s only one or two pictures an SD card reader for your phone is better because of the speed.

I keep wishing for the same things - finger print security access to the camera to make a stolen one useless and a circular sensor.
-
Of course, but does the switch send an interrupt to the processor or simply connect the battery to the led?
