Ich hatte auch mal eine S, allerdings eine 006. Ich hatte nie Probleme mit der Elektronik nur mit dem Sensor, der mal aus bekannten Gründen (Korrosion) getauscht wurde. In diesem Zuge wurde dann auch das Image Board getauscht. Vielleicht wird das routinemäßig im Rahmen des Service gemacht. Wenn das Angebot gut ist würde ich zuschlagen - es muss allerdings wirklich sehr gut sein - die Preise für die S sind absolut im Keller. Meine 006 war im Neuzustand und ich musste sie fast verschenken um sie loszuwerden. Eine supertolle Kamera nur für meine Zwecke leider nicht das Richtige. Viel Erfolg!

Try the Hassy before buying - I´ve heared more negatives than positives. Sure the camera looks cool and the name is promising, but operation and IQ seem to be not that good. Why don´t you try the Fuji GFX50s?

Why 2 x A9? I´d go for A9 and A7rIII to get the best out of two worlds. I think the AF of A7rIII is nearly as good as the one of the A9. ... and you safe some money.

Hallo Ingo, das habe ich auf Dein Anraten hin ausprobiert, funktioniert, der Sucher wird wieder hell. Fotografiert habe ich bei der Gelegenheit (recht dunkle Portraitsituation mit schwachem Einstellicht der ELB400) dann doch mit der A9, die in der Situation einfach den besseren "Durchblick" bietet. Ich weis nicht warum Leica das nicht hinbekommt. Bei der Sony muss ich nicht auf Spotmessung schalten um immer ein richtig belichtetes Sucherbild zu haben.

I think the AF-tracking of the A9 is the best you can get. What do you mean with choppy EVF - the blackouts while exposing that every DSLR or mirrorless has? The A9 is first mirrorless cam that is able not to blackout the viewfinder while continuous shooting and that with 20fps and AF ... and it works great! If you need flash, that´s right you have use the mechanical shutter like the other cameras do do you really need flash on the catwalk?) but the AF works well and I assume not worse like other cameras.

I love the SL and use it with 24-90. The 24-90 is the best lens I ever owned and I had a lot, also Leica M-lenses. When it comes to AF and buffer the SL sucks in comparison to the A9. I do a lot people-shoots and the SL can´t compete with the A9. But when the (shooting-)situation is not so fast the SL is the hero because of the epic output. I use the A9 with GM 24-70 which is a very good lens but the 24-90 plays in an other league. I also own 35 and 50 Sony Zeiss, both 1,4 - both very good but not as good as the SL 24-90. So I choose the A9 when I need speed or wide open aperture and I for everything else I use the SL. I also have the S-E which I sell now because the IQ of the files is not that much better than from the SL. Doing portraiture with the SL is much more comfortable because of the more versatile AF than the one of the S. There is no camera that fits every needs. For every situation you need the right tool. Der Blitz schafft es einfach nicht in den Synchonisierungsvorgang. Was Du siehst ist nur dein Foto ohne Blitz. Stell die Kamera auf ISO 100 und 1/250 und z.B. f5.6 und mach ein Foto auf dem Du den Blitz wahrnehmen kannst. Dann stell die Kamera auf 1/320 und Du wirst sehen, dass Du unten einen dunklen Streifen siehst. Je kürzer die Verschlusszeit desto breiter wird der Streifen und bei 1/4000 ist alles schwarz - vermutlich schon deutlich früher. Es geht einfach nicht mit diesem Auslöser.

Ich denke die Firmware wird das auch nicht richten. Ich habe gestern meine ELB mit der SL und kürzeren Zeiten als 1/250 ausprobiert - leider ohne Erfolgt. Meine Sony A9 mit Skyport-Trigger funktioniert bis 1/8000 mit den normalen Pro-Köpfen. Ich denke das liegt am Trigger. Ich habe Elinchrom im letzten Jahr auch mal angeschrieben wann der Sky-Trigger für die SL kommt, leider sehen die dort keinen Bedarf auf Grund der geringen Verbreitung der SL - hoffe die täuschen sich;-) Anscheinend geht es aber mit Pocket-Wizzards, ich meine irgendwo mal sowas gelesen zu haben. Hallo und besten Dank für das Video. Stell doch jetzt mal nur zum Spaß die Kamera auf ISO 100 und Blende z.B. 5,6 bei einer 1/1000 und lass den Blitz mitlaufen. Bin gespannt ob es dann immer noch funktioniert. Gruß, Peter__

You seem to know much more about the lenses than I do. Buying a (very pricy) Nikon Noct over the Rokkor 58 1.2 might be more of a collectors thing. On modern cameras both look like old lenses compared to an up-to-date Leica lens. I like the rendering of the Rokkor very much and as I wrote above it´s surprisingly sharp stopped down but will never come close to a modern lens in sharpness. People use those lenses to achieve this special kind of look that only old lenses can produce and I can´t imagine that the Nikon Noct and the Rokkor 58 1.2 look very different wide open. But in fact you are right, the lenses are different - but not that much;-) Best, Peter

That´s not only your opinion. A 36MP-file with a good lens has higher resolution than a 60MP-file shot with a not so good lens. That´s the reason why I switched from Nikon D810 to Leica SL - the Leica files are better because of the lens. @Ruz: I sent you a PM?
