Ah, you forgot that "shure" is sure and "bancrupt" is bankrupt and I'm going to blame all my errors about the M9 on my aunt because my uncle is a Nikon user.:D

offshore: don't be such a tosser! I guess as you're coming from the motherland of sophisticated english, you don't have to demean yourself in expressing your opinion in any other language than your own! How about you try to utter one sentence in German?

It was not that many people revised their idea of the law of physics, it was Kodak or whovever designed the sensor that did a formidable job.

We haven't seen the vignetting yet , but anyhow the manufacturer of this sensor must have made a huge step forward in comparison with existing sensors equiped with microlenses to make this possible at all.

my guess is that there will be a lot of invisible in-camera image processing going on. this is in my view an absolutly legitimate supplementary measure to optical path corrections.

I quickly made some surfing on past posts...:) :

I'm pretty sure the M9 will be a down-sized M8, instead of an up-sized one. (1/9/09)

R lenses will have their own body well before we'll see an M9.(18/01/09)

my guess - m9 will be .72x (20/8/08)

I only suggested that the M9 should have a built-in coffee maker. I thought it was a good idea (4/8/09)

I think there is a M8.3 (upgrade the sensor) coming in september and a M9 for next year (photokina).(6/8/09)

M9 will be FF, 18MP, Euro 5,500 and now taking reservations... (10/8/09)

…(answer)…………This dealer is getting a lot of free publicity

....(answer).............and in view of the known facts, little credibility.

In any case, there would soon be a used market of M9's at 2/3 the price (15/3/09)

We are not going to get a full-frame M tomorrow or the next day (30/7/09)

Why?

Amongst all the white noise, there are some very pertinent posts and threads.

VERY senior people at Leica are members here too.

I think you have mis-read me. I didn't mean to sound like I was jumping on Leica. I am just used to large businesses not really listening to the users. Let's just go take photos.

How else will one learn to use a language correctly unless they are corrected, and it was done in good fun. How do you say "has no sense of humor" in German?

we Germans are world famous for not having any sense of humor at all, otherwise we wouldn't be able to produce those strange cameras. On the other hand, if the only way to express any humorous attribute is a smiley appendix, how good was that humor in the first place?

Smart businesses listen to their most loyal, informed customers (which is what the LUF comprises.) And Leica's not that large a company. Very smart of them to observe the insights of this community. It also sounds like they've listened to people like Sean Reid, who from the first days of the M8 was arguing for easier access to ISO changes...
