earleygallery Posted September 1, 2009 Share #41 Posted September 1, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Streuth!! If people don't like the 'M9' speculation then its pretty simple to ignore those threads, or even ignore the whole forum for a few days! Why all the angst? There is NO M9....yet Roll on the 9th. Advertisement Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Hi earleygallery, Take a look here There is NO M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest JasonG Posted September 1, 2009 Share #42 Posted September 1, 2009 Is this true? You will really leave the forum? This would be a relief. If you can take your "I have nothing to say but I'll explain everything" friends with you, even better I was simply going to ignore... Admins; please delete any and all of my posts and my account. Thanks.
scsambrook Posted September 1, 2009 Share #43 Posted September 1, 2009 Ah! I could counsel you that in such instances, persistence pays off! Erl - thank you for those wise words. My wife reminds me that persistence did indeed work in our case ...
scsambrook Posted September 1, 2009 Share #44 Posted September 1, 2009 It will be no problem the day those who are not interested/excited will stop explaining to those who are how wrong they are.Till then, at least it's fun to point their contradictions Pascal, nobody is telling the 'interested/excited ones' that they are wrong, merely that they may not be right. Nor does it follow that those urging circumspection are uninterested or not sharing in the sense of anticipation. Surely even the logician can accept that with a good grace? Iansky Posted September 1, 2009 Share #45 Posted September 1, 2009 I was simply going to ignore... Admins; please delete any and all of my posts and my account. Thanks. How sad, I would like to think the Administrators will read the abusive posts that have led Jason to make this decision, and the gloating satisfaction shown by the person responsible and that they can in turn address this and convince Jason to stay rather than be bullied out. May common sense prevail
andybarton Posted September 1, 2009 Share #46 Posted September 1, 2009 Come on guys. There's really no need for this attitude. These are exciting times for Leica and we should be embracing them. Not embarrassing ourselves. Please leave the playground stuff for elsewhere. If you don't want to read about M9 speculation, don't read the threads. There's no need to leave a forum. scsambrook Posted September 1, 2009 Share #47 Posted September 1, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Come on guys. There's really no need for this attitude. These are exciting times for Leica and we should be embracing them. Not embarrassing ourselves. Please leave the playground stuff for elsewhere. If you don't want to read about M9 speculation, don't read the threads. There's no need to leave a forum. That's sensible. These are 'exciting times' and excitement easily becomes over-exhuberance which can indeed become embarrassing. So, perhaps we should move on to another topic altogether and continue to behave like the civil and good humoured people we all really are. I suggest: Will the M9 (real or hypothetical) have image stabilisation?
Guest stnami Posted September 1, 2009 Share #48 Posted September 1, 2009 ......... it's a BOMB thread........... based on mindless bullshit
jamriman Posted September 1, 2009 Share #49 Posted September 1, 2009 Waiting for official announcements is boring. Speculation and M9 spotting on YouTube videos is exciting and fun. Disassembling a M8 to see if a full format sensor fits in is a big accomplishment. I appreciate and enjoy these efforts around the M9 speculation. Just let the people enjoy their time until the M9 is announced. Don't be a grinch. Totally agree. It's a lot of fun. I enjoyed this speculation since the M7 came out. It's funny how people come up with these topics without taking the time out to read the other ones.
devils-advocate Posted September 1, 2009 Share #50 Posted September 1, 2009 Hmmm....people fighting at a deeply personal level about something that doesn't exist.....where have we seen this before? Personally, I chose to believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the M9 and government bailouts for bankrupts

Personally, I chose to believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the M9 and government bailouts for bankrupts It's clearly seen in the youtube Leica teaser. Perhaps it's not called an M9 (but highly doubtful). I just don't get these silly comments. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/96795-m9-spotted-leica-youtube-video.html

So, perhaps we should move on to another topic altogether and continue to behave like the civil and good humoured people we all really are. I suggest: Will the M9 (real or hypothetical) have image stabilisation? 99,9% NO : impossible within the M lenses and too complex/costly implementing a in-body system like Olympus (which surely is patented but probably licenseable). Bo_Lorentzen Posted September 1, 2009 Share #53 Posted September 1, 2009 WOW... kind of did not expect this topic to go very far, but 4 pages later.... somebody also claims that they never landed on the moon. go figure, problem is I would have to go there myself to know for sure. In the meantime guess i will have to keep my checkbook handy if it start raining M9's .
batmobile Posted September 1, 2009 Share #54 Posted September 1, 2009 WOW... somebody also claims that they never landed on the moon. . They didn't and for years people have been buying unreliable cameras from the CIA after the fictitious Hasselblad made a name for itself in space travel. At least Leica is real comapny rather than a bunch of spooks that were forced to keep up appearances. With Hasselblad the clue is in the fact that they never have made their own optics, just the camera bodies, which have always shared a number of modular parts with NASA imaging/scientific equipment. Guest JasonG Posted September 1, 2009 Share #57 Posted September 1, 2009 What do I have to do to get this account terminated? Never have I been so horrified at such facile attempts at humour as I see on this forum. I shall leave you all to your GAS. Come on Jason, are you going to let bullies win? No way! I thought the post in question was pretty unpleasant and I am sure others did too. Perhaps take a break and come back. Never, ever give in to those whose inadequacies are most amply demonstrated in their attempts to highlight what they believe to be yours.
pascal_meheut Posted September 2, 2009 Share #60 Posted September 2, 2009 Come on Jason, are you going to let bullies win? No way! I In teenagers movies, the bullies are always punished at the end. In real life, not so much. You must live in "American Pie VI" or "Veronica Mars" to say such things. Never, ever give in to those whose inadequacies are most amply demonstrated in their attempts to highlight what they believe to be yours. You are talking to a guy who was not able to discover by himself that he can stop reading and posting here. Are you sure you want to talk about other people inadequacies? But thanks anyway, another good laugh to start the day
