martinop Posted November 15, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 15, 2006 The impact of the warm lighting / colors add significant beauty to this scene.

Guest lykoudos Posted November 16, 2006 Share #7 Posted November 16, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, A fantastische admission in the light of the morning sun, over everything their warm jets to slide leaves and hopefully also our heart pleased. mhanke Posted November 16, 2006 Share #8 Posted November 16, 2006 Hi Brent, Leica M8? No, of course I know that the magenta cast is the result of the light condition, and it surely looks gorgeous! Regards, Marcus
stuny Posted November 16, 2006 Share #9 Posted November 16, 2006 Brent - Fabulous light, and the depth, emphasized by the placement of the row of street lamps, greatly adds to the appeal of this lovely shot.
lambroving Posted November 16, 2006 Share #10 Posted November 16, 2006 Brent, Nice catch! I don't get up that early if I can help it Interesting sky; sure you didn't use an M8 for this?
imported_peter_m Posted November 17, 2006 Share #11 Posted November 17, 2006 See that magenta issue on the M8 could be called a feature Awesome light Brent well seen and capyured. Peter
fotografr Posted November 17, 2006 Author Share #12 Posted November 17, 2006 Thanks everyone. I sure wish I'd taken this with the M8. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for delivery. Maybe this will start people talking about a magenta problem with the M7.
Dirk Van der Herten Posted November 17, 2006 Share #13 Posted November 17, 2006 Maybe this will start people talking about a magenta problem with the M7. I love the wonderful light you've caught. So you have a flawed version of the M7 ... you are really a lucky man, Brent. ;-)
gverdon Posted December 2, 2006 Share #14 Posted December 2, 2006 Brent, delightful light, delightfully captured. Gérald
billh Posted December 3, 2006 Share #15 Posted December 3, 2006 That really is pretty. I (like William) associate this pretty light with the evening hours. (Do you want to borrow an IR filter for that M7?) What time was this anyway - the street lights are still on.
leicamann Posted December 4, 2006 Share #16 Posted December 4, 2006 Brent I think there is a serious magenta problem with the M7 firmware and IR issues ...just kidding So whats your take on this new Fuji film..I think it scans beautifully and have gotten good prints.. Thanks for sharing Regards, Leicamann
fotografr Posted December 4, 2006 Author Share #17 Posted December 4, 2006 Thanks again for the kind words. Bill--This was around 7:30 am, as I headed for my favorite espresso shop. This magenta light is much more common in the evening, and also in summer. It didn't last long on this morning--perhaps 5 minutes and then it was gone. Leicaman--I'm very impressed with the new film. It is extremely sharp and does, as you pointed out, scan very nicely.
