vizzo Posted August 10, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 10, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, when I want to shot in BW with the M8 I choose DNG+Jpeg and the Black ^ White setting. Viewing the files in Lightroom I really like the jpgs created by the camera. The grain is really amazing. Unfortunately I can´t get this grain structure with the DNG file. This grain appears normally when I use ISO 1250. With DNG it just looks like crappy noise. Does anyone how to achieve the same grain effect with the DNG files in Lightroom? thanks

jaapv Posted August 10, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 10, 2009 Switch off all sharpening in the RAW converter, and drastically reduce noise reduction (sorry ) The monochrome "yellow filter" profile in C1 is really good.
