stuny Posted July 4, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 4, 2006 Thomas - Though the angle is different it makes me think of "Glass of Absinth". Lovely composition and tones. Stuart

christoph_d Posted July 4, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 4, 2006 Hello Thomas, Nice to see you here. Didn´t know the pic from the old forum. I like the mood and the light. Also the expression in the face is interesting if somewhat puzzling. Regards, C.
jmr Posted July 4, 2006 Share #5 Posted July 4, 2006 Thomas, good shot. The composition, along with the out of focus background, makes a strong statement to me.
tomparis Posted July 5, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted July 5, 2006 Thank you all for looking and commenting! Christoph, the expression on her face is what I like also. The funny thing is that her expression didn't change at all, though she obviously noticed I was taking a picture of her (I was sitting about 1,5 m away...). Her mind was somewhere else. robert_parker Posted July 5, 2006 Share #9 Posted July 5, 2006 Thomas - Herzlich Wilkommen !! I really like the tones and tightly controlled depth of field, combined with the outstanding facial expression - the distance between the subject and the glass is alarming but the control of the depth of field, which eliminates the distractions between, makes the shot. abrewer Posted July 5, 2006 Share #13 Posted July 5, 2006 Wonderfully done, Thomas! Excellent tones and shades in the photograph. They enhance the mood and the character of the woman greatly. And the diagonals are perfect! Bravo!!! Agree with the comments about "Absinthe"...looks very much like Lautrec! Thank you for sharing! Please post more for us here!
