High atop the 13,796 ft summit of Mauna Kea on the Island of Hawaii, The Gemini telescope, an 8.1-meter optical/IR telescope operated by a consortium of seven countries.

The air was thin and it was much colder than the 85 degrees of the beaches at sea-level.

I shot this at sunset with the M8 and 35mm summicron.
